For the first time, UK audiences can experience a major public artwork by Colombian artist Delcy Morelos at the Barbican , from 15 May to 31 July 2026, supported by the Bukhman Foundation.

In origo, Morelos presents her most ambitious outdoor work to date, a large-scale installation shaped by Andean and Amazonian knowledge systems, as well as elements of minimalism and abstraction. Her practice explores the relationship between the human body and the earth, drawing on ideas of land as a living, active presence. Built by hand from clay, soil, hay and seeds, and infused with natural scents such as cinnamon and cloves, the work creates an immersive, sensory environment that evokes memory, touch and smell.

Measuring 24 by 18 metres and rising over three metres high, origo features curved, tunnel-like forms that invite visitors to walk through, rest and engage with its ecosystem. In dialogue with the Barbican’s iconic concrete architecture, the installation also marks the return of art to the Sculpture Court for the first time in a decade.

Our co-founder, Anastasia Bukhman said: " It's an honour to support Delcy Morelos’s new commission at the Barbican. Her work, rooted in earth, materiality, and ancestral wisdom, finds a perfect home in this exceptional space. Through her immersive vision, she invites us not only to see, but to feel and inhabit the very substance of the world. We believe that access to art that is bold, ambitious, and profound is essential to widening creative opportunity, nurturing the next generation of artists and cultural leaders, and inspiring the wider public."
